Tokyo Auto Salon – Part 3

15 01 2009

Max Power’s third and final gallery from this years Tokyo Auto Salon. Although not as busy as last years (not to mention tuners such as HKS failing to turn up) the Auto Salon still delivered a fine array of metal, especially in the form of the new 370Z and GT-R.

360 forged carbon wheels

15 01 2009

For the past few years Dymag have been building sets of carbon kevlar/magneisum alloys, found on such cars including the Koenigsegg and Mosler race cars. But now there’s a new contender from the US called ‘360 forged’, who’ve spent the past two years developing an entire carbon wheel for luxury motors.

Sizes start from 19in up to 22in in diameter and up to 13in in width, weighing just a couple of KG each. Expect the cost to be well over £10K for a set – bargain.

EU-Mania Mk4 Golf

15 01 2009

EU-Mania is the ultimate website for fans of ‘Euro’ styled cars. As firm believers of the ‘low and wide’ stance, EU-Mania produced some of the best motors throughout 2008 including site admin Mallo’s Mk4 Golf GTI.

Key mods include Rayvern Hydraulics, GTI Anniversary seats, R32 bumper, R32 US lights, Milltek exhaust and a trick little Audi R8 oil cap… just for good measure. Then there’s the wheels – Mallo’s latest look opts for a set of Mercedes Alphards in 18×9.5 at the rear and 18×8.5 at the front – what a friggin’ awesome stance.
